Life altering mlm incomeâ¦incredible lifestyleâ¦financial freedomâ¦aren’t those the things that just about everyone in the mlm industry is shooting for? Even folks that begin a home based mlm business with the notion of making just a little extra cash for bills every month usually catch a much larger vision for themselves once they’ve been in network marketing for awhile. That’s because the potential is there for everyone to create the life of their dreams in a way that no other industry offers.
“Way to state the obvious, Clint. Now tell me something I don’t know that will truly help me achieve that amazing mlm income along with all the rest of it.” Okay, how about a powerful formula consisting of Seven Simple Steps for setting and achieving whatever goals you set for yourself? Hey, and even if you’re already aware of these from the personal development books you should all be reading on a regular basis, it’s clear that you need your memory jogged or you’d already have that amazing mlm income you’ve been dreaming of, or at least be fully on your way to getting it.
Seven steps. Sounds simple, right? Well it is, but will you keep to them? That’s where the rubber meets the road. It’s between the “knowing” and the “doing” that too many people fail to follow through, and as a result, fail to achieve. So when you’re through reading this and taking notes (and you will if you get this at all), DO IT! I got these seven steps from Brain Tracy’s book, “Eat That Frog! 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time.” This book is a must read if you struggle in any way with procrastination.
Let’s jump right in thenâ¦Step 1: Decide exactly what you want. Either decide for yourself or sit down with your mentor or upline and talk about your goals and objectives until you are completely certain about what you need to do and the order in which you need to do them. Prioritize. Steer clear of low-value tasks that squander your time and don’t deliver the results you’re looking for. In regards to generating mlm income, focus on the tasks that will yield you money: mlm lead generation through attraction marketing, building your list and monetizing that list through funded proposals, etc.
Step 2: Write it down. Think on paper. When you record your goal, you make it “real,” something you can get your hands on, see, work towards and measure your successes as you get nearer to reaching your goal. Writing it down gives it life and energy, and gives you focus. (Just be sure to write your goals down in the present tense, positive and first person so your subconscious mind immediately accepts them.)
Step 3: Assign your goal a deadline. A goal with no deadline is a goal without a real beginning or end. When do you want to generate “X” number of leads every day? When do you want to create a 5 figure mlm income every month? With no due date, there’s no urgency or answerability, leaving the door wide open for procrastination and excuses. So set a date for achieving your goal. You may not make it by that date, but you can always “reschedule it,” and if you have no bulls-eye, you unquestionably can’t hit it, can you?
Step 4: Make a list. You need to make a list of everything that you can come up with that you’re going to need to do to accomplish that goal. Make it a rolling list – keep adding activities as you think of them. This list will provide you with a visual picture and help you stay on track.
Step 5: Organize your list into a plan of action. Arrange it by priority and then in progression. Put it into bite size doable pieces.
Step 6: Take immediate action on your plan. Choose a task and get started at once. An average plan that you really get after is much better than a expertly crafted plan that just sits there with nothing getting done on it. You’ll never reach your goal unless you engage.
Step 7: Commit to taking action every day. Make up your mind and make a pledge to do something that moves you toward your goal each and every day. Build this activity into your daily routine.
If a significant mlm income is one of your main goals, following this formula, these 7 steps, will multiply your chances of reaching that goal by many times, and have you realizing your goal at a much quicker pace than if you keep doing what you always do (or not doing what you’re not doing).
But don’t stop there! Build the activities for your most important goals into your schedule every day: the number of pages you’ll read on your self development journey, how much time you’ll spend exercising, how many prospects you’ll speak to, etc. Don’t over do it, but stay balanced with your goals and your actions. And NEVER FAIL to make time for the important people in your life.
Don’t just dismiss this folks. This is not just filler. Clear written goals have an astounding effect on your thinking. They energize you and propel you into action. As Brian Tracy says in his book: “Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement. The bigger your goals and the clearer they are, the more excited you become about achieving them. The more you think about your goals, the greater becomes your inner drive and desire to accomplish them.”
If you really want a monster mlm income, write that down, make a plan of action, and take action now! You will be way more productive and efficient with a written goal and an organized action plan than if you just carry your goal around in your head. So keep moving forward, and once your begin, don’t quit!
