CNN reported that 98% of work at home programs are scams.
Good luck beating those odds.

To check up on a company google the name of the company followed by the word, complaint, scam, or rip-off.
Looks like you have a lot of good reading to do – enjoy.

MLM (multilevel marketing) is NOT “work from home”. ALL such programs CAN be operated as an actual business OR as a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. If you are actually selling products, you have a business. If you are ONLY trying to sign up people under you, you have a get rich quick scam.

It looks like a lot of people have posted an answer, but no one has answered the question yet.

I’m with Pre-Paid Legal Services. How’s this for legitimacy?: NYSE traded company. Endorsed by 4 former Attorneys General, Presidents of US and National Black Chambers of Commerce, and the former President of the ABA. Our founder sits on the board of the US Chamber of Commerce. BBB accredited and has an A+ rating with the BBB. Featured in many national publications including Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, WSJ, Success, USA Today, Money and many more. In the lastest issue of Forbes was named one of the 200 best small companies for the 8th time. Recently named one of the best 100 small companies by DeMarche Associates. There’s more, but I think you get the point.

Is money being made: Unlike many MLMs people buy the services even if they aren’t interested in the opp. My recruit to customer ratio usually hovers around 1:7 so I am not walking away empty handed if they aren’t interested in the opp. We have several associates who earn six figures without recruiting. Every 12 days an associate reaches the 6 figure income level. The ecomony has actually helped our business, because in addition to the need that was already there people need our services to deal with foreclosure, creditor harassment, negotiating severance packages, etc. As a matter of fact we just had a record month for both sales and recruiting. We also have the most comprehensive ID theft product on the market and the need for ID theft protection is becoming self evident. On a personal note I just went “full time” in the business this month as my traditional business no longer makes enough profit to pay the bills.
