Everyone who has ever ventured into the multi-level marketing world knows you need a strong downline. Without it, your profits will be minimal. In order to build this strong foundation you have to lead by example. For example; if you work hard, it will make them work hard. However, there are four main qualities that can set you apart from other MLM sponsors on the internet. If you want others to follow your lead, you’ll need to apply each one of them.
Optimism*
Negativity is like a virus, and in a moment’s notice it can spread like wildfire. Being on top means you believe in what you’re doing and you should show your downline members this each and everyday. If you remember when you first started out there were many obstacles along the way. It’s easy to say, “This isn’t going to work,” but it’s more rewarding if you put a positive spin on everything. It all starts with your attitude, and if you play the optimist it will infect those around you.
Know the Product or Service*
Have you ever had a sponsor that didn’t have very good answers to your questions? It happens all the time, which is one of the many reasons why people fail on the internet. If they’re leery about you in general, often times they will ask a question they already know the answer to and see if you fall on your face. So it’s always important to know as much about the business as possible.
Be as Active as Possible*
If your downline sees you basically doing nothing, they’ll expect to be where you are using the same methods. This is a crucial step in building your downline, and showing prospects and new members you are active in seminars, news updates, and everything else will be important. Your downline will respect you more if you take this approach. Plus, they’ll be more inclined to do it themselves.
Be Assuring*
On many occasions you’re going to feel like Dr. Phil. Once individuals get to know you and feel comfortable talking to you, all of life’s stresses are going to surface. While there is nothing wrong with this and it’s expected, it will be your job to reassure these individuals to stick with the program. After all, you need them just as much as they need you. Be helpful and guide them along if need be. Over time you will be rewarded for your efforts, and glad you had all of these MLM qualities.
